Description
This scarf was handwoven on a manual wooden loom operated by hand and foot power. Wooden pedals were pressed in a sequence to create the pattern woven into the fabric. Weft threads were added one by one through the warp threads in centuries old process. Approximately two thousand weft threads were woven into the warp to complete a scarf. Between six and nine hundred individual threads make up the width of the scarf depending on the chosen size.
